In the menu below, touch Advanced Options and choose for the IP Settings the Static option

Android gathers in the same window the manual configuration of IP addresses and DNS addresses. But we can simply use the current IP address, automatically assigned by DHCP, as the new static address.

  • It is now sufficient in the DNS 1 and DNS 2 sections to enter the addresses of the Google servers. Validate by pressing Save.

On Android, Google's public DNS server address (8.8.4.4) is often preconfigured as an option.
